History:
The county’s first club, the West Palm Beach unit was opened as a Boys Club in 1971 in the original Knights of Columbus building. Girls first joined the Club in 1989 and the name was officially changed to Boys & Girls Club. The Club has undergone several additions, including the August H. Oenbrink Memorial Gym, the Charles A. Weber Wing, and the Founders’ Teen Lounge. The club is currently in the midst of a capital and endowment campaign to renovate and expand the existing facilities.
Current Facilities:
12,300 square feet
Game room, arts & crafts room, teen lounge, library, swimming pool, kitchen/snack bar, gymnasium.
Programs:
We offer daily access to a broad range of programs in six core program areas: character and leadership development; education and career development; health and life skills; the arts; sports, fitness and recreation, and technology. Here are a few examples of some of these programs:
