History:
In Delray Beachs inner city, youth have historically had few positive alternatives for their leisure time, resulting in juvenile crime and poor school performance. In recognition of the need to give youth a safe alternative, local leaders from the private and public sectors joined forces to open the Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach in 1994. The Club is now located in a new 21,000 square feet building which opened in May 2005.
