Be Great Dinner Celebration Raises $423k for Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach

The Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach recently got a big boost for its programming, which help children learn and grow through after- and out-of-school programs and character development experiences. Celebrating its 10th year, the “Be Great” Dinner at Quail Ridge Country Club in Boynton Beach raised $423,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Proceeds from the dinner are earmarked for summer camp activities at the Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach.

Children from the club performed and Bennie Drain, Delray’s executive club director, spoke about the programming they offer during the dinner, which also featured a live auction. An anonymous donor gave $200,000 to the

Frank Zamor, 2023 Delray Beach Youth of the Year, who competed a one of seven finalists at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s 2023 Youth of the Year dinner, talked about the club’s life-changing impact on him.
