The Youth of the Year Dinner embarks on it's fourth year, returning to the Eau Palm Beach on February 23, 2018.
This year, we are excited to announce the Mary Alice Fortin Foundation Youth of the Year Scholarship. This program will provide a 4-year Florida Prepaid College scholarship to each of the Club Youth of the Year finalists, and a 4-year University scholarship, including room/board, and applicable fees for the County Youth of the Year overall winner. With the addition of the scholarship program, the event now has the ability to provide a life-altering opportunity to its teen participants.
Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. As BGCA's premier youth recognition program, the Youth of the Year Dinner recognizes Club members with outstanding contributions to family, their school, community and their Boys & Girls Club, as well as overcoming personal challenges and obstacles. Youth of the Year encourages Club members to reach their full potential by achieving academic success, leading healthy lifestyles and contributing to their communities.
Proceeds from the dinner benefit the Florence DeGeorge Boys & Girls Club.
