Red Lobster Suprises Boys & Girls Clubs with $10,000 Donation

Recently, the Boys & Girls of Palm Beach County received a $10,000 donation from Red Lobster. New Wellington Club to be Named in Honor of Neil S. Hirsch

Once referred to as the runt of the Palm Beach County Boys & Girls Clubs, the 7,000 square foot Club in Wellington, will soon change as the organization will break ground for a new 22,500 square foot facility on Tuesday, May 22.   more >>


2011-2012 Quick Facts

  • We served more than 6,000 Club members and thousand more through outreach in 2011-2012
  • Our 13 Clubs are located in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach (2), Riviera Beach, Wellington and the Glades (7).
  • Our 2012-2013 budget is $10,413,303.
  • $.86 of every dollar we raise goes directly into programming for our youth.
  • Almost 77.6% of our parents said that the Clubs have enabled them to obtain or maintain a job.
  • 61.5% of our parents said their child would spend time alone each day if it were not for the Clubs.
  • 57% of Club alumni said that the Club saved their life.
  • 67.6% of our youth live in families whose household income is $39,999 or below.
  • 90.1% of our parents said their child's experience at the Club has developed a stronger sense of community service and doing things for others.
  • 82% of Club members improved their grades in reading, and 76% improved their grades in math.
