The Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton hosted “Venetian Masquerade” the 4th Annual Casino Night on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Boca West Country Club. The annual gathering aids in raising money for the continuous reach of programmatic needs to more than 200 at-risk youth who attend the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton.
More than 150 guests strolled about with classic Venetian ball masks joining the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton for the fall season’s most memorable event. Supporters played their luck at numerous gaming tables provided by Prager Casino Productions of Fort Lauderdale, enjoyed a specialty martini featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka and were dazzled by over-the-top prizes from Hurricane Grill and Wings’ Sand Dig. The highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated live auction which included a rental in a 2013 Maserati Gran Turismo Convertible; a New York City holiday shopping weekend getaway, including round-trip airfare; and a chance to be Palm Beach County’s “Sheriff for a Day.” Guests also had an opportunity to win fantastic prizes, bid on a glittering silent auction and enjoy cocktails, dinner and gourmet sweets.
Returning as Event Chairman was Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton Unit Board President Zakir N. Odhwani, Senior Vice President at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. “Advocating for an organization such as the Boys & Girls Club, which provides essential services to the community, is a tremendous way to give back to the community in which we live and work. Having the opportunity to serve again as event chairman for Casino Night is a great honor, and I hope to continue to grow this event and help the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton continue its good work in the community,” said Odhwani.
