The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County seeks an experienced leader, fund raiser and manager to assume the Executive Director position.
Founded in 1971, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County is a not-for profit youth development organization dedicated to promoting the educational, vocational, health leadership and character of boys and girls in a safe, nurturing environment. The 13 Clubs and three extension sites provide more than a safe, fun and constructive alternative to being home alone – they offer a variety of award-winning developmental programs to help youth build skills, self-esteem and values during critical periods of growth.
Serving nearly 7,000 disadvantaged youth ages 6-18 annually with more than 1800 youth participating each day after school and all day during school breaks, the Clubs provide a critical service for youth who might otherwise be left alone, afraid and at risk.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors in support of the organization’s mission and goals, the successful candidate will direct all aspects of the organization including, but not limited to:
Vision, Mission & Strategic Planning Budgeting & Cost Management
Human Resources Management Strategic Alliances
Resource Development Public Relations & Media Affairs
Program Design & Implementation Donor Relations
Policy and Procedure Development Staff Development & Team Building

The best candidate will be mission and vision driven, strategic, creative and dynamic. They will possess a high level of personal integrity, diplomacy, discretion and tact.
A Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s degree preferred) with fverifiable management success within the non-profit arena. The ideal candidate will preferably have thorough knowledge of Boys & Girls Clubs mission, objectives, polices, programs and procedures along with the principles and practices of managing a multi-million dollar organization. Have extraordinary leadership skills, including negotiation, problem solving, decision making and delegation, and have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Applicant will need the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with the Board of Directors, staff, community groups, Club families and other agencies.

Job Title: Mentor Coordinator

Job Description:
The mentor coordinator recruits, trains, and supervises mentors/mentors for various Club sites that address specific programs and community needs. This position will implement the Mentoring with Impact program throughout the organization. The mentor coordinator will assess the programs and provide statistical data to a show the impact of the programs, especially the Mentoring with Impact. The mentors recruited by the mentor coordinator should reflect a balance of college students, local community service organizations, and others who can participate in a range of mentor service projects. This position is also responsible for ensuring Family Central documents and FAA (grant) documents are accurate and correct and filed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
· Experience in leadership role
· Demonstrated experience recruiting, training, managing, and supporting Club staff and mentors to address community needs through service projects
· Ability to build relationships and work with Club staff, mentors, Club members, and community members
· Track record of planning and implementing programs
· Strong language and communication skills (written and oral)
· Ability to give presentations to large groups
· Desire to share the Boys & Girls Clubs mission with the community
· Community service experience is a plus
· Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
· Ability to work well independently and on a team
· Availability, dependability, and willingness to be flexible

Job Title: Program Monitor
Location: Belle Glade Teen Center
Supervisor: Club Director
Hours: Part-Time
School days: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Non-school days: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Job Description:
Responsible for the management of the front desk, record keeping and general correspondence of the Club. Other responsibilities include registration of memberships, including collecting dues and issuing membership cards, maintaining current membership records for all members, including statistical information. You will act as the information center for questions about the Club. Answer telephones, take messages and provide a good public image for all who call. Cooperative, works well & respects others, a good team player; demonstrates both a “can do” & “what can we do for you” attitudes. You will maintain a clean and organized work area, be responsible for supervising children, enforcing Boys & Girls Club rules, provide guidance and role modeling to members, assist in the daily care and maintenance of the building and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED
· Experience working with children
· Exceptional organizational & computer skills
· Excellent customer service skills
· Ability to enforce Boys & Girls Clubs rules and policies in a fair and equitable manner.
· Ability to work flexible hours
· Valid Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record.
