Ecouraging Teamwork

With the pressure our young people face today, the Club is often the only place where children can be just that – children. Our Clubs are where they can laugh, run and play. The Clubs’ sports and fitness programs build teamwork through a variety of activities such as flag football, soccer and basketball leagues, golf, tennis and dance. Regardless  of a child’s athletic ability, our programs allow all kids to learn new skills, develop self-esteem and build leadership skills. Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s outreach and collaboration with professional and collegiate sports teams level the playing field for our Club members so they can experience once-in- a-lifetime opportunities just like their peers. The Club is committed to providing members with world-class Club experiences and spaces. In partnership with the Cal Ripkin Sr. Foundation and Group 1001, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County built and opened a brand-new, state-of-the art Astro Turf athletic field in the fall of 2022 at the Marjorie S. Fisher Club. Our children now have a safe space to play organized youth sports and host their very own tournaments. The Club ensures that every child has the chance to experience team sports and learn skills that will help them compete both on the field and in life.

80% of Club alumni said that the Club had a positive impact on their attitude towards fitness and health.

41% of twelfth-grade Club girls participate in daily physical activity, compared with 29% nationally.
