Pack the Outback with holiday fun

Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County Staff
December 21, 2018

The holidays were once again bright at the Max M. Fisher Boys & Girls Club of Riviera Beach as a cohort of community-minded folk came together to bring joy to Club Children.

Schumacher Subaru parked its Outback vehicle at the Club to collect toys for kids. Rocking Horse Foundation's (RHF) trustees showed up to "Pack the Outback" with a truck load full of gifts that were selected by and included a special note from kids at The Conservatory School in North Palm Beach. Pack the Outback is part of Subaru's Share the Love event, which runs through January 2, 2019 and benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County as well as four national charities.

Max Club Members in turn got a chance to select a gift for and write a special note to children at our Florence De George Boys & Girls Club of West Palm Beach.

Publix Supermarkets Charities stepped in to provide funds for the nearly 300 meals for the Max's annual Holiday Party, which took place Thurs., Dec. 20, and included baked chicken, string beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, and dinner roll.

Our friends at PGA National stopped by with gifts for our teens!

During the party, staff donned their favorite holiday sweaters and children enjoyed decorating holiday cookies with RHF. Each child's gift was especially wrapped just for them with the note inside. Thank you to our volunteers from The Breakers Palm Beach for wrapping gifts all week and for helping to serve children during the party!

It was truly a magical holiday season for not just Club members, but also their families and Club staff. It took an entire village coming together to SHARE THE LOVE and make it all happen.
